(contributed by Mark Brace) "The Split airport (second largest city in Croatia) are nothing Special, but the Toilets are the best toilets I ever seen in my life, beautiful and clean made from granite benches and black tiles lots of space and soup. The airport it self is O.K. with very quiet waiting rooms, but not many chairs. now there is only two places to eat very expensive and not great variety of food. Croatians are Not well know by the "kindness" so do not get offended, it is just the way it is. If you have a chance to sleep in Split Airport, do not forge to pay a visit to the toilet! Have fun. "

(contributed by Mark Brace) "I had to kill a number of hours here having being brought here after my flight from Dubrovnik was cancelled. The airport is closed overnight, so it was everyone unto himself when it came to sleeping space. The chairs/benches downstairs were not particularly inviting, so a few of us went upstairs to the bar/cafe area, and had to push some (not very comfortable) seats together and grab some sleep on them. Not very pleasant, but it was quite quiet."

(Contributed by Anna M.) "This is a very quite, pleasant airport. It's not as busy as most airports I've been to, so it's not crowded, and it's very clean. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. I only slept here during the morning (not overnight) but my experience was really nice. It is a rather small airport but seemed very well organized. It has only a few gift shops and one restaurant but the quietness and cleanness left me with a very good impression." Added 14 April 06
