| A 5-star place to sleep | | toyotaboy95, 8/29/2009 | Before security (check-in counter area), there was about 50 comfy sofas spread throughout the area (clusters). I saw that a few people were sleeping on them already on them and put their luggage next to them. It was quite secure I guess because guards were patrolling but did not tell them to go away.
At departure level (with the boarding gates), I loved the hushed atmosphere (this was at night and in the early morning) with no boarding announcements of any kind. There are quite a lot of seats and sofas (again!) on the upper level before going down to the departure level. Free Wi-fi is also available throughout the airport. The terminal also has 8 computers for internet usage (free). TVs were scattered throughout the departure level with different channels (CNN, local news etc.) MUTED to keep the silence. In the end, I found out from the staff that no boarding announcements was a regulation to keep the airport quiet. Great for airport sleepers! Temperature was ok at 23C/73F.

- AMENITIES: Televisions, Gift Shops, Bookstores, Fine jewellery and clothing shops, Internet Cafes, Fast Food, Sit down style restaurants, Prayer rooms, Movie theatres, Bag Storage /Lockers, WIFI
- BATHROOMS: Clean Bathrooms, Flush Toilets, Automatic Flush Toilets (the ones that are suppose to flush when you leave the cubicle)
- SHOWERS: Pay Showers
- SMOKING: Smoking is permitted in designated areas
- ANNOUNCEMENTS/NOISE: No announcements
- TEMPERATURES: Just right
- CLEANLINESS: Cleaning staff were respectful of my desire to rest
- OTHER GOOD TO KNOW INFORMATION: Signs at this airport were in several languages - one of which I understood
